Snow – Day 7 or 8 – I’ve lost count

30 inches of snow on the ground. We haven’t been above freezing for more than a week. This is the most snow I’ve seen at one time since we moved up here in 1985 and it appears to have broken a 40 year old record. I’ve been stuck in the house since Friday night, but I expect to try to get to work tomorrow, if I can dig my truck out of it’s snowbank.

You are not alone, I am about 2 hours north from you in Washington State, and just got out of the house yesterday. It was the first day out in 6 days! It only took one hour getting up my very steep and long driveway. Merry Christmas

That much snow on the ground is tough on deer. They expend a lot of energy trying to paw through the snow to get to what is on the ground that is eatable.
(With 30 inches of it they aren’t likely to get through?) Not being used to it doesn’t help either.

I hope you’re not entirely buried under all that snow. We don’t have that much on the ground, but last week’s -27 (not wind-chill) temp nearly did us in. :!:

    Jerry, where are you guy?

It’s been too long since you have posted. Hope you are reading great books, knitting with great yarn and staying warm and safe this winter. Be blessed.
