Rough week and gansey progress

It’s been a rough week at the restaurant. We’ve had two people quit and our night manager is expecting a baby around the first of May and she informed the owner yesterday that she needs to cut her hours drastically and she’ll probably be leaving completely within the next week or so. And the owner hasn’t been able to find anybody to hire. We are currently at minimums to run the place and only with most of us putting in nearly 40 hour work weeks.

But, there has been progress on the little gansey. Finished the back this morning and will start on the front later today. Don’t you think it’s cute…

My bosses’ husband owns a pizza place and I hear these stories frequently, hope there is some relief soon!

Could this be a hidden opportunity? You have mentioned your desire to go to school and your concern about the cost. Perhaps this is a way to offset some of that expense?

I owned a small retail business for 20+ years. Reliability and good cheer in employees is important–more important than most will ever know. Hang in there.

I especially like the little hearts on the gansey.

I really enjoy your site. The photos of the forest and flowers have been beautiful. The gansey pattern if quite lovely.

The sweater is adorable!!! Still waiting for my book to come from Amazon  Can’t wait to try one of my own! Sorry to hear you’ve been working so hard. Any chance of a promotion or at least overtime to pay for culinary school or some stash?
