Welcome to the New Year
And I hope a better year for us all.
Mary (from Boise) recommended a book (The Noonday Demon) to help me understand the blues/depression I’ve been experiencing. I’ve been working my way through the first chapter this past weekend. While my depression has never been as serious as some folks face day to day, it’s been very real for me and it’s kind of nice to get a bit of understand of the whole thing.
Just finished one of the busiest and trying weeks of the year. The local high school hosts an alumni basketball tournament after Christmas and Tuesday and Thursday (off Wednesday) were long days. Started at 4pm both days and finished at midnight Tuesday and 12:30am Friday morning. Way too many drunks and way too much work.
Attitudes *are* going to change. I need to get back to the things I love doing and stop whining about things I have no control over. First thing is to finish the three scarves I’ve been working on (two have owners waiting on them) and then back onto the Feather and Fan shawl.

I’ve heard that’s a good book, too, for a better understanding of what depression is and what to do about it. Best wishes, keep on going.
