A good weekend
or at least a good Saturday.
I spent the day volunteering at a steam powered sawmill. The head rig was built in the 1930’s. I managed to get myself volunteered to help the head sawyer on the main platform and rode the log carriage a few times for the first couple of passes of the log passed the saw blade. Quite a rush to be riding 16 to 24 inches from a fast spinning saw blade, with wood chips and sawdust flying in the air.
Still waiting on yarn and pattern for the work I’m contracted to for KnitPicks. I’m *really* hoping that stuff shows up early next week, because I only have until November 24 to finish it and I’m one of the worlds slowest knitters. And in the meantime, I’ve put everything else on hold. I really want this project to work out. Not only because I’ll be paid money to finish, but as a challenge to myself to finish a project under a schedule.
And finally, a new bumper sticker for my truck. Thanks Lisa…

Can’t wait for your yarn to show up either! You are NOT a slow knitter! You whipped that scarf up in record time. Will you be able to post pics of your Knit Pick’s jobs on your post? Hope so!

KnitPick’s contract — I’ve asked Cher Forsberg, Design Coordinator for KnitPicks and my contact, about how much I can talk about projects. She told me to go ahead and talk and show detail work, but not completed projects until published in the catalog. Yarn is on it’s way and pattern should be in the mail this afternoon.

Bumper Sticker — I searched the web to see if anybody was offering it, but no luck. I *think* my friend got it a Oregon Flock and Fiber Festival (right Lisa?).

Yes, the bumpersticker is from OFFF in September. Jerry - look at the label on the back, is it from the Carolina Homespun booth? It was next to the Blue Moon booth in the smaller building.

Unfortunately, there was no label on the back of the bumper sticker.
But… I’m looking at making some up on my own. I’ll let folks know when/if they’re available.

Hah! We’re bumpersticker twins
I believe it’s Judy’s Novelty Wool (in Utah) that sells them….she doesn’t seem to have a website, but if you google her you can get an email. That’s how I got mine last year.
