and a longer weekend…

Our booth at the Spring Garden Fair in Canby Oregon is mostly done. We’ve still got a couple things to do tomorrow morning before the gates open and the public enters the fair grounds at 10am.

We need to be back down there before 9am tomorrow, so it’s an early bed time and an early rise tomorrow. Sunday won’t be as bad, but we’ll still need to be down there before 10am.

Tomorrow runs until 5pm and Sunday until 4pm, but then we need to take everything down and load the trailer, so Sunday is going to be another long day.

Anyway.. If you’re in Northwest Oregon/Southwest Washington, come on down to Canby at the Clackamas County Fairgrounds. 170 vendors with lots to offer from garden art to color spots to vegetables. You can find us at booth H45.

Trailer is loaded and we’re ready for setup tomorrow. A couple final things to do in the morning and then we’ll be on the road at about 11am for Canby and setup. Hopefully the predicted rain will hold off til we’re done.

Sometimes I think I like the buds better than the roses. We’re starting to see a lot of buds and some are just too interesting to ignore.

The first is a Striped Moss Rose. A pretty rose, but an interesting bud.

The other is the Green Rose. Another unusual and pretty rose, but an interesting bud also.

A little proof that I *am* making some progress.

Tomorrow is the final prep day for the plant sale and I don’t expect any progress on the Test Blog until Monday or Tuesday of next week. I have decided that the sock pattern background is just too busy and I’ll be using the cable background. Other than that, not many more changes.

Another busy week with not much time for anything..

It’s a good thing I’ve only got the sock project going, or else I’d be feeling guilty about the total lack of progress. Another 8 rounds on the cuff of the toe up sock. I’ll try to get an update picture tomorrow.

Today was spent mostly working through Eileen’s plant list for this weekend. Selecting the best and cleaning up the pots. Two more hectic preparation days and then a *long* day on Friday setting things up in Canby.

A bit more progress on the test blog. Changes to the logo, a style that I think will be usable by anybody using a screen size less that 1024×768 and filling in of the side bar. Still not all the way there and the way the week is going, it’s going to be the middle of next week before I make a final decision.

Test Blog. I’d appreciate it if those that have a problem with the site drop a comment here with as much detail as possible (Operating System, Browser, Screen Size, etc). I’ve managed to test with three browsers under Linux and and *old* Internet Explorer (whatever was released with Win98SE) and so far this one looks good.
