Stuff
No pictures today. I had put my camera in Eileen’s Chevy when we went down south on Wednesday and forgot to remove it before she headed into town this morning. As she didn’t get back to the farm until nearly 4pm, there was no opportunity to take pictures today. Another two rounds completed on the Aran and I *will* post pictures tomorrow.
Spent most of the day digging, dividing and potting up Peonies. This is my private collection of about 20 varieties, though I’ll probably end up selling the extra divisions. I love Peonies and all the variety and colors. And the root systems are something to see. They’re all going into pots for now, but I hope to get them back into the ground next year.
I’m in the process of ‘ripping’ my CD collection to Ogg Vorbis format. I’d started before, moving the recordings to MP3, but after comparing the quality of the two formats, I started over with Ogg. Some of these CD’s haven’t been played in years and it’s nice to hear some of this older music. Currently about 1/4 through the collection and 60 CD’s done. Nothing newer than 4 or 5 years ago. Most are probably not well known artists, but all stuff that I enjoy.
I’m sitting here typing with my old man Jake on my lap. He’ll be 17 in the middle of June and has been with me through thick and thin for all those years. He’s amazingly healthy for his age, but 17 years is a long time and I’m not looking forward to the time when I’ll have to say goodbye. My world is not going to be the same when he’s gone. I’ll just enjoy his company while he’s around.
