A bit of everything

July 6th, 2004 Jerry 2 comments

Sheep shearing day today. 4 rams and 4 ewes completed and 6 more ewes to go. It’s been raining lightly since about 3pm this afternoon and if it continues, the final 6 will probably have to wait until things dry out.

Our last Sunday Market was our best. Even though it was Fourth of July and the morning started out very slow, we managed a record day of sales. Feels pretty good.

Nothing on the Aran this morning. Our monthly garbage pickup along with an early arrival of our young helper really messed the morning.

And finally, another bloom from our garden. I love plants that produce blossoms that look too tropical for our area. Alstromeria ‘Pacific Sunset’ is one of them. I picked up a small plant in April of this year, potted it up and it’s finally flowering. Looks like a pretty little butterfly.
