Silly CSS tricks
I’m easily amused this evening..
I’ve been playing around with WordPress as a possible substitute for MovableType and found a posting for an interesting template (aka style sheet). Called the ‘Technicolor Template’, it is cute trick of javascript and Cascading Style Sheets.
Take a look at my WordPress blog. Once the page is loaded just let it sit a while and pay attention. Within 30 or 40 seconds you should start noticing an interesting effect.
Update — Silly CSS trick is gone. Back to a drab, monotonous style sheet.

WordPress blog is very interesting and subtle. I didn’t recognize the change for a while. I like it, but the best thing is the picture of one of your cats, nice enough for a screen saver.

I’ve been reading you now for a while and enjoying your contributions… So today I landed on this entry and always interested in CSS tricks followed the link and stared at the cat. Nothing happened… “what’s this guy smokin’? there’s nothing going on!” until … Whoa! funky. And then I realized that had I read the tecnicolor clue in your words, I would not have been so skeptical. Anyway, thanks for the morning pick me up.

Guess I should have been a bit more specific on what to expect. It’s kind of subtle at the beginning, but it you stay with it for a while, all the pastel colors of the rainbow pass by.
