Life without the Internet

Our phone lines have been out since sometime early today. No email, no World Wide Web, no Blogs.

Trying to catch up, but it’s amazing how much I miss contact with the rest of the world. I love Eileen, but sometimes I need contact with other folks, even if it’s only email.

The good side of this is that I managed about 1 1/2 hours working on the Aran. Not enough progress yet for a photo, but it’s good to be working on the sweater again.

Another Primrose. This one is a Gold-Laced Polyanthus called ‘Mahogany Sunrise’.

There are more different kinds of primroses than I thought. The primrose must have been a favorite of the mideval times. It looks like one of the flowers that shows up time and time again in the embroidery’s from that time.
