Another busy day

Tree cutters are coming on Friday to chop up and chew up our Oak tree and we’ve been very busy getting stuff out of the way for them. We’re nearly ready, though we’ve got a group of grasses that still need to be moved, but we will have to wait until we can get some of the branches cut away.

Not a lot of knitting today, but a couple of rounds on the Dubblemossa and a picture of progress. I’m planning on starting back on the body of the Aran tomorrow. Should be pretty easy to pick up stitches and get a couple rounds done…

Wow - that hat looks great!!!! I want to start fair isle and don’t know where to start. A pattern like that might be just the ticket!!! Keep up the great work with that and the sweater and I hope this winter ends soon for you!!!

Most of the Scandanavian two color knitting is fun, colorful and a good introduction into two strand knitting. I find it fairly easy - nothing but straight knitting - and seeing the pattern develop is is almost magical. This is the third major two color knitting I’ve done. This is the second Dubblemossa (and I’ll probably make a third from unspun shetland) and the first stranded knitting project was my Shining Star Mittens which I’ll probably make again in brighter colors.
