I LOVE the socks and would love to try making them. Is there a pattern or did you use your creativity and make up the pattern?
Thanks

Don't fix that! I'm a knitter and I couldn't find it for a while!

I have at least one backwards cable cross on both of the cabled sweaters I knit. I know one of them is on the sleeve, on my forearm on one sweater. I can sit for long periods of time, gazing at my forearm, looking up and down the offending cable and I STILL cannot find that mistake! I KNOW I did it! And I know I didn't fix it, too. :)

New reader here is curious to see how much of a perfectionist you are and if you really end up leaving that mis-crossed cable. I will be watching. LOL

You do beautiful work and this project is just at the very beginning, so I'm betting you end up knitting that piece over.

Jerry - Sorry I missed you at OFFF. I did wonder up to the displays on Sunday and quickly found both your entries. I recognized the Aran immediately - very lovely in person. And the shawl is lovely too. I'm planning entries for next year (I've entered before, but things just didn't fall into place this year). I wouldn't have made it in time this year anyway, since the sheep wouldn't cooperate with getting in the truck, so it was after 7 p.m. Friday by the time we got there (but they did well in the show on Saturday - took Ch & RCh Romeldale rams!)

I'm not that much of a perfectionist. The mis-crossed cable will be at the neckline on top of the shoulder and I don't think *anybody* will notice. It'll stay.

And Sue, I too am sorry to have missed you. Saw your booth in the barns, but continued to be sidetracked by other things Saturday and Sunday we didn't get down until just after 3PM. Had some quick shopping for needles and then helped a friend load her animals before picking up my stuff. Maybe next year.

I went with a friend and if you don t mind I printer out your aran and will look for a pattern and try it. I am game for trying new knits. thats how I got into lace knitting
