New projects

August 11th, 2003 Jerry 2 comments

It’s a strange feeling not to have the gansey to work on in the mornings. Fingers feel they’re missing out on some action..

I’ve decided to hold off a while before I start another large project. Still expect to start the top-down Son Of Aran in a month or so, but in the meantime I’m going to work on a couple small, quick to finish things. I’ve got self-patterning sock yarn to try out, some ideas for quick Christmas scarves and I’ve promised Eileen to finish the pair of socks that I started for her nearly two years ago in a Socka Cotton called ‘Monet’. One has been finished for ages and the second one was done down to the heel flap.

I finished turning the heel, picked up gusset stitches and have about 6 rounds of gusset decreases done this morning. This *should* be done in less than a week and I can move on to the new yarns.
