Blocking a Moebius
Work continues on the Moebius and I’m nearing the halfway point. As I’m knitting, I’m trying to figure out how does one block a twisted ring…
The lace will look much better with a bit of blocking and I can do the initial blocking of the strip before I graft it, but what about later. I’m going to have to chew on this awhile. I’ve got a couple of ideas, but putting those ideas into practice may be a different thing.
Still no Gansey yarn, though I really didn’t expect it until the middle of the week after the delay from Brown Sheep. I’ve just about got the pattern memorized, I’ve read it so much. I’ve still got a couple of points of confusion (especially shoulder bind-off and neck gussets), but maybe things will clear up when I get to that point.
Another nursery roadtrip today, this time to a very interesting nursery up in Battle Ground, Washington — Collector’s Nursery

How about blocked around an ironing board if it’s the right size? No one says you have to do all sides at once.. you could do it in sections so the twist is always hanging free below and the pinned part is on top. Those table-top boards might be narrow enough so you don’t have to block it for days… The sleeve size might be a little to small and drive you crazy.

Ironing board…. Now that’s something I didn’t think of. Now that may just be the ticket, especially if you use the wider end of the board. Thanks…

Jerry, I also used an ironing board, in conjunction with a hair dryer. I gently washed the whole thing, pinned it out against the board and with a cool setting, mostly dried one section. I then unpinned and rotated. This works better with a tv on in the same room.
