Knitty Comments

I like Knitty. I’ve got a link on my blog to Knitty. But…

A couple interesting technical articles, but the patterns are ‘blah’. I know the folks who put together Knitty work hard to produce a quality online magazine, but for me it’s kind of boring. And again I say, it can’t be just me. ‘Cute’ little tops just don’t do anything for me or my other half.

I know, I know… If you don’t like it, offer something you like. The problem is that I’m a good technical knitter, but not much of a designer. I just know that what I’m seeing from both newstand magazines and online magazines leaves me not interested.

Check out http://knitknut.blogspot.com/ for the same opinion you’ve just expressed. Maybe you two should talk! :)

    And so he does…..

There must be some kind of a male knitters connection, because his words are mine (well, much better written…)

I think all male knitters feel a little slighted by knit designers. We (female knitters included) are forced to get creative when it comes to knitting for men. Personally, I think Knitty is great…good content, nice patterns, excellent price…but they could do with a few more men’s sweaters per issue.

Just surfing the knitbloggers’ ring and found your site. (I love your title; men knit in Peru and wear their creations as a means of showing their talent). Wish there were more male knitters in the ring! I like your perspective.

    Best,
    Becky
